Measuring What Matters

Blue Solaris tracks outcomes, not just outputs. These reports document what changed in the communities we serve — not just what we spent or how many people we reached.

How We Measure Impact

Most nonprofits report on activities — meals served, items distributed, events held. We report on those too. But we also try to document what actually changed: whether children stayed in school, whether families had clean water, whether communities were safer or more economically stable after we left.

Our measurement approach is built around three questions: Did the program reach the people it was designed to reach? Did it produce the outcomes it was designed to produce? Did those outcomes persist after the program ended? We do not always have complete answers. But we ask the questions, and we report honestly on what we found.

All impact data is collected in partnership with local implementing organizations. We do not self-report impact without local verification.

Our Measurement Approach

We use a simple three-question framework for every program. We do not claim precision we do not have — but we do commit to honest reporting on what we found.

Reach

Did the program reach the people it was designed to reach? We document participant counts, demographics where available, and any gaps between intended and actual reach.

Outcomes

Did the program produce the outcomes it was designed to produce? We track immediate outputs (items distributed, events held) and intermediate outcomes (behavior change, access improvement).

Persistence

Did outcomes persist after the program ended? Where possible, we follow up with local partners 6–12 months after program completion to assess durability.

Honest Reporting

We report what we found, including limitations. If we could not measure something, we say so. If a program did not achieve its intended outcome, we document that too.

  • Solar-powered cafeteria and dedicated dining space under construction (Fall 2026 completion)
🇲🇱
